Position Summary
Accountable for a disciplined application of software test engineering practice in order to achieve success of a design GUI (HMI), testing, and customer acceptance.
Main Responsibilities
- Deliver a tested software solution against specified customer and technical requirements.
- Accountable for the quality of all technical documents and results.
- Drives automation of software testing using industry accepted as well as innovative solutions.
- Contribute to final software and function reliability and robustness.
Key Daily Tasks
- Participate in defining the software requirements and ensure their testability.
- Design a software test plan.
- Develop reusable test cases based on the project and customer needs.
- Execute a test suite and document the test results.
- Communicate and reports any defects to the design team.
- Ensure fixed defects are retested using the same test cases.
- Support and actively contribute to implementation of Agile principles.
Critical Skills And Personal Attributes
- Proven object-oriented programming skill (Delphi, Python, C#)
- Proficient with use of software repositories SmartGit,
- Ability to test user interface is a plus (Selenium, Squish, Sikuli)
- Practical knowledge of test framework (D-Unit is a plus)
- Experience in software development, experience in cloud solutions
- Practical experience with embedded software is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills
- Independent self-starter and self-learner be up to date with the latest information technologies
relevant for IoT, cloud and Azure DevOps.
Education And Experience
- Minimum bachelor's degree or equivalent in software engineering, mechatronic, electronic design or automation
- English (min B2 level)
Background
- Proven experience with mechanical, mechatronic, electronic design or automation
- around 5 years of experience working in a software testing or software development.
- Previous experience in a Azure DevOps function is an advantage.
- experience in a machine building industry is a plus.
