Engineer/Senior Engineer - Control Engineer

Responsible for Control Systems Engineering consisting of Hardware engineering, PLC programming and
HMI/SCADA. Design, develop, and Test hardware systems for Metal rolling system, Metal processing and
other Electrical Automation Systems.
Interface between Drives and Automation system using different field networks e.g. Profibus, Modbus,
Ethernet, Profinet. Support Site commissioning activities.
Generate supporting documentation as per project and customer requirements.
Job requires ability of 30% travel to customer site on short notices

Specific Duties:

Development of Technical Specification of Control Panel, Desk-Stations
Design Control systems Hardware & create electrical drawings using EPLAN software
Design, develop, and Test hardware systems, PLC Programming and SCADA for Metal rolling system, Metal
processing and other Electrical Automation Systems
Support Site commissioning activities as required
Interface between Drives and Automation system using different field networks(Profibus, TC-net, Ethernet)
Follow document control process as per the standards prevailing
Adhere to engineering best practices, design standards, and engineering processes for the development.

Education
Essential: - Bachelors Degree in Electrical/ EEE/Electronics/Instrumentation Engineering

Desired: -
Knowledge
Experience in clients automation control system such as Toshiba nV Controller and drives
Knowledge of PLC programming languages & Knowledge of HMI/SCADA.
Knowledge in AutoCAD / Eplan or other Electrical Design software
Proficiency in Excel, Visio & Microsoft Projects
Process knowledge of Metals Processes as Hot Mill, Cold Rolling Mills, Processing lines, Bar/Wire Rod Mills etc

Skills and abilities:

Basic understanding of Level1/Level2 Automation and their interface with Third party system
Good Academic Records.
Strong Analytical, Inter-Personal Skills
Positive Attitude & Discipline
Effective communication skills
Self-motivated and innovative

Experience:

3 to 5 years of experience in Engineering & Commissioning of AC/DC Drives
Experience in application of Hardware engineering & PLC Programming & Drives
Experience in electrical schematics & Panel engineering e.g. Drive Panel, MCC/PLC Panels etc.
Process knowledge of Metals Processes as Hot Mill, Cold Rolling Mills, Processing lines, Bar/Wire Rod Mills
etc.
Field commissioning experience is preferable
