CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
To ensure the Candidate is suitably resourced for planned objectives and all personnel are suitable for the project.
Function as Engineer for assigned in the Engineering of Rotary machinery.
Development of Design basis / Technical Requisitions / Vendor offer review / Technical Bid evaluation / Vendor drawing review etc.
Providing supervision and technical expertise to ensure delivery against time and quality constraints.
To provide assurance that all aspects engineering within the discipline have been carried to an acceptable standard
To liaise with other engineering disciplines to ensure best practice is applied to the engineering of project and to ensure compliance to project specifications and standards.
Review and approval of designs and check / approval of engineering deliverables / Vendors
Qualification
Production of enquiry documentation for equipment's including equipment datasheets, specifications and requisitions
Safety first mind set. Identification of risks in the workplace, site and design work being undertaken. Considering the environmental, commercial, safety and operational aspects of design.
Managing change and identifying, formalizing and notifying relevant parties of changes in the project.
Thinking creatively and logically to resolve design and execution problems.
Communicating and liaising with subcontractors, vendors and clients
Participates in contract tender evaluations & vendor negotiations to review technical qualifications (experience, personnel, equipment, etc) for executing the scope of work.
Responsible for making the technical deliverables related to Rotary mechanical engineering.
Responsible for the mechanical technical deliverables within a multi-disciplinary project team.
Provide start-up and commissioning support for mechanical equipment.
Lead together with the lead QA/QC engineer the quality assurance and control of contractor, subcontractors and suppliers in the Mechanical Rotary engineering disciplines.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Experience in detail engineering consultancy is preferred.
8 + years experienced Mechanical Engineer
Experience in the oil and gas sector / Refinery /Petrochemical /Fertiliser / Process industries
Good knowledge of Centrifugal and reciprocating compressors and associated systems
Good knowledge of the design of Centrifugal pumps / Rotary Pumps
Good knowledge of the design of Turbines / Lubricating system
Experience of Rotary equipment testing
Knowledge of design codes and international standards
Experience of performance testing of large machinery
Working knowledge of Plot plan / corrosion and degradation mechanisms and able to select materials of construction for equipment in oil, gas and refinery service.
Knowledge of market availability of rotating equipment's and aware of differences in the features of products of different vendors
Relevant Vendors evaluation
Experienced in the management of suppliers including inspection and test plans, quality plans, order close out, suppliers document reviews
