As a Product Stewardship Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring our products meet all regulatory, environmental, and safety standards. You will be responsible for driving compliance initiatives, collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate risks associated with materials, components, and product design.
Your role will involve various projects, including to collecting supplier product compliance data, ensuring accurate and up-to-date regulatory documentation encompassing Substance test reports FMD, RoHS, REACH, Declaration of Non-Use (DoNU's) and Substance test reports within SAP-EHSM.
Our Team
You will be joining the Product Stewardship team, a dynamic group of engineers and professionals dedicated to ensuring that our products meet global regulatory standards We work closely with various departments, including Design, PDP and Supply Chain, to ensure that our products meet the highest standards of environmental and regulatory compliance.
What You Will Do
Lead product compliance activities, Communicate with Suppliers to obtain necessary compliance documentation ensuring adherence to global regulations such as Substance Test Reports, DoNU, REACH, RoHS, FMD and other environmental directives.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess and manage chemical and material risks associated with products.
Develop and maintain documentation related to product compliance, including Safety Data Sheets (SDS), declarations and technical files.
Monitor changes in regulatory requirements and implement necessary amendments to product designs and processes.
Handle Customer Environmental Requests (CER's) at salesforce flatform and fulfill Customer surveys/forms.
Stay updated on regulatory requirements and future trends concerning EHS.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field (Mechanical/Industrial/Electrical/Electronics/Chemical/ Environmental)
2 to 3 years of experience in product stewardship, regulatory compliance or a related field.
Knowledge of global environmental regulations such as REACH, RoHS, DONU, FMD, Test reports and Halogen reports.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex regulations and apply them to product development.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
What Will Put You Ahead
Extensive experience in managing compliance with global regulations.
Experience with regulatory databases and product compliance tools, such as SAP EH&S, IMDS, or similar systems.
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and effectively communicate complex regulatory requirements to diverse stakeholders.
Proficiency in Desktop tools like Word processing, MS-Excel, MS-Access, Presentations and Web development skills.
