Position Summary:
Define & deliver best in class Master Data Solutions across all required domains pursuing enterprise relevant solutions for high-value critical Data. They will lead the project definition/scoping and requirements phase, resource estimation/planning/acquisition, people management, vendor management, timeline definition and management, delivery management & benefit realization.
Job Description:
- Experience Required: 3 7 years experience as data or MDM engineer. Experience across a variety of functional disciplines in developing solutions that include MDM, enabling single version of truth design through Master data designs. Data design for propelling BI & Analytics
- Experience Desired: Advanced working experience in Azure environment inclusive of Azure Data factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake, Azure DevOps.
- Experience with any big data tools: Spark, Kafka, Spark & Kafka Streaming, Python, Scala, Talend etc.
- Extensive working knowledge of API or Stream based data extraction processes
- Experience with building data pipeline from various business applications.
- Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) as well as working familiarity with a variety of NO SQL databases.
- Education Desired: Bachelor's Degree
Job Responsibilities:
- Liaise across all relevant areas and with stakeholders at any level both within IT DnA team and across all function areas to deliver MDM at scale.
- Engage with collaborative and proactive approach to solving key data needs.
- Define thorough workflow processes that enhance efficiency, minimize human touch and ensure high data quality results. Achieve and enhance Master data continuous improvement through high quality solutions that are easy to use and link to the Enterprise Semantic Layer.
- Design & develop appropriate and relevant APIs for MDM
- Bring best-in-class and right sized MDM solutions to life at Giant Eagle.
- Define holistic E2E Master Data needs while designing and delivering through team in a highly scalable, collaborative & agile manner. Depth of business process knowledge across disciplines are required for successful Master Data designs.
- Partner closely with business partners and E2E Solution leaders to ensure initial and ongoing Master Data Management needs are met in a highly automated, low-cost manner. Anticipate business needs and proactively designing and delivering solutions that increase agility & scalability while reducing data & tech debt. Leverage a data centric approach across all demands to build once and deploy many.
- Drive technology foundation & Data foundation decisions that impact lowest TCO with highest agility & scalability for Data & Analytics. Develop team and capabilities in line with the transformation & DnA strategy. Drive the evolution of Data maturity, Analytics maturity & Data Science capabilities in a highly collaborative manner that develops the key messages and ensure highly successful deliveries & team alignment. Partner closely with DnA End2End Solution Delivery roles to ensure seamless delivery aligned within and across Functional portfolios and supporting budget accountability.
- Define and deliver required catalog capabilities to satisfy all audience perspectives.
- Capability areas to be designed, managed & delivered to through hands on and direction of team:
- Anticipate and identify best practice data management and data solutions across all required functions exceeding stakeholder needs and breaking down functional silos by taking a data centric approach to the solutions.
- Manage lifecycle of data management maturity from strategy through to delivery & support driving agility in master data design, reusability and speed to scalability in honor of business intent and objectives within and across all functional areas
- Manage team of talent (internal & external) bringing cohesive solutions to life further strengthening a build once, deploy many approach.
- Partner with internal delivery partners for Enterprise Data Management, BI & Enterprise Data Platform and Analytics and Data Science. Engaging early and often throughout lifecycle of delivery needs
- Ensure solutions meet stability concerns for ongoing maintenance and support.
- Drive Continuous Improvement cycle from production support through to innovation in future E2E solutions informed by learnings and support requirements.
- Propose & Adhere to Data Architecture & work delivery standards
- Adhere to agreed Demand Management and Program/Project Management to ensure work delivery alignment to strategic imperatives. Managing, planning and preventing capacity challenges across team resources managing to high quality deliveries on time, on budget and in full quality stance.
- Able to hands-on assist team with upskilling on technology and data practices
- Develop, upskill, organize and coach internal existing talent to fulfill the DnA Strategy and delivery needs while creating a highly motivating work environment
- Acquire, develop and coach new talent to increase skillset coverage in a highly collaborative working environment in partnership with LT and with existing teammates.
