How will you make an impact
As part of a team that develops software to support our metabolomics/proteomics software application, you will build and follow test plans that ensure completeness and quality. You will collaborate with your team to detail product features to ensure we build the right product for our customers.
What will you do
- Work closely with global scrum teams (in Germany, India, Slovakia, US) to develop testing materials that ensure software products meet the specifications
- Participate in all phases of the product development life cycle from product definition to final release
- Conduct testing of small molecule or proteomics software applications in Agile software development methodology
- Build and follow Test Plans, and Test Cases, establish pass/fail test criteria, document issues, perform final verification of defect resolutions.
- Participate in the design, development, and implementation of new software products as well as the maintenance and improvement of existing software.
- Author project documents and status reports
Participate in innovative technology research! We are looking for a hands-on Software Application tester with a Chemistry/Proteomics or Bioinformatics background, to test the Metabolomics software applications. Successful candidates will have excellent communication skills, as you'll work closely with technology teams and other testers. The ability to multi-task and rearrange priorities is important.

- Knowledge of metabolomics: A strong understanding of the principles and techniques used in metabolomics is crucial. This includes familiarity with metabolite identification, data analysis, and interpretation.

- Detailed understanding of qualitative and quantitative analytical chemistry

- Experience with defect tracking systems

Desired Secondary Skills
- Certifications in software testing, such as ISTQB (International Software Testing Qualifications Board), demonstrating your commitment to professional development and excellence in software testing.
- Familiarity with testing tools, such as Selenium or JUnit, is also beneficial, allowing you to optimize your testing processes and efficiency.
- Demonstrated technical/scientific knowledge in Life Sciences using Mass Spectrometry or similar analytical techniques
- Hands-on experience handling LC-MS and/or GC-MS
Education
BS/MS in Bio-Informatics, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related subject area
Experience
Strong experience of 4+ years as a Manual Software Tester. Proven experience in metabolomics and bioinformatics, preferably in a research or clinical setting. Proficiency in using bioinformatics tools such as R, Python, or similar
