Job Description:
Pratt & Whitney is seeking data science & analytics engineer in our Data science, Analytics & Methods team at the Pratt & Whitney India Engineering Center (IEC) in Bengaluru India.
Your main responsibilities will include analysing existing engine data to provide actionable insights and making data-driven decisions using forecasting models that can be seamlessly integrated into our workflows. As part of the Hot Section Systems Engineering (HSE) Methods team, you will also have the opportunity to collaborate with our US-based Durability Analytics team, driving innovation and fostering cross-border collaboration.
Key Skills and Competencies:
- Data science experience
- Python programming
- SQL database maintenance and data engineering
- AI/ML with a focus on Natural Language Processing and Image Processing
- Expertise in Weibull and other statistical evaluation methods
- Experience in field aircraft data trending and forecasting
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (with 4+ years of experience) or Advanced degree (with 2+ years of experience) in Data Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or Statistics.
- 2+ years of experience in SQL.
- 2+ years of experience in building machine learning/statistical models.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with data & text mining techniques.
- Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- Experience in aerospace domain.
- Experience in an agile development environment.
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach
