Job Description
Description of Essential Duties:
. To work in Global Environment for Design Engineering support activities for New Product development, VAVE and Improvement projects.
. To plan and manage Engineering support work on NPI & other improvement projects with desired quality output and timeframe in coordination with Senior team members.
. To Work on projects/assignments (short or long term) such as on Concept design, NPD, Bills of Materials, CAD Modelling & its detailing (using Creo Tool) & Change Orders to maintain desired quality levels set by organization.
. Quick to acquire and understand Product knowledge required to execute projects as per need.
. Work on design and developments of part/assembly & Provide design packages including 3D models, assemblies, drawings, and BOM structures.
. Must also be able to work independently with little guidance.
. Interaction with other team members on different Global locations frequently for project coordination and meetproduct design requirement and deadlines.
. Participate in regularly scheduled Customer and internal review meetings.
. He/ She will be responsible for providing project estimations based on the requirements received.
. Adherence to project management process set by organization.
. Being part of Global Engineering Function, he/she is expected to maintain desired quality & schedule adherence defined by organization and report as per defined communication plan.
. Acknowledge additional stretch responsibilities given by organisation and executing them responsibly.
Required Competency:
1. Minimum Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering with relevant exposure to design environment.
2. 3-5 years of experience on Creo platform in Sheet metal domain is a must.
3. Must be expert in 3D modelling and detailing work on Creo with experience on generating Bills of Materials. Should also possess relevant experience and understanding of CO process.
4. Working experience on any PLM tools. Agile or PD cloud will be added advantage
5. Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication process is must. Working experience in a fabrication environment would be an added advantage.
6. Experience on telecom/electrical enclosure design is added advantage
7. Good Interpersonal skills & ability to communicate effectively in both written and spoken English
8. Self-motivated, disciplined, passionate, Willingness to learn and organized
9. Experience in handling large CAD assemblies in CREO and managing modifications as required.
10. Working experience on External Simplified representation is added advantage.
