Job overview/Purpose of the Position
We are seeking an experienced Engineer to join our Global Production Engineering and New Product Introduction (NPI) team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in the development and implementation of manufacturing processes for new products, ensuring seamless integration from design to production. This position demands a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Preparation of production documents like production work instruction, process flow, sequence of events (SOE) etc.
- Line balancing and maintaining product routine time.
- Process BOM and product routing creation in D365.
- Support the lean team on lean assessment and continuous improvement.
- Implementation of jigs, fixtures and tools on shop floor.
- Support implementation of engineering changes by updating documentation and system data.
- Support the flow team on daily management and problem solving.
Competencies:
- Proficient in 3D modelling, Solidworks composer or relevant software (MOST).
- High level knowledge of process engineering, process design and process optimization.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials and equipment.
- Good knowledge on lean manufacturing, six sigma or similar methodologies.
- Experience in process related standards, process simulation and standard operating procedures.
- Working knowledge of process safety, risk assessment and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Knowledge of automation and control systems.
Our Requirements:
- Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial/Electrical).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Production Engineering with a focus on NPI.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross functional teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a global team.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast pace environment.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Fluent in speaking and writing English.
