We are seeking a skilled Engineer - Electrical to oversee and manage electrical installations and operations for our solar projects at the site level. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the effective implementation and maintenance of electrical systems, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
Key Accountabilities:
- Electrical Design and Installation: Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems related to solar projects, including inverters, transformers, and switchgear.
- Site Management: Coordinate with site teams to ensure that electrical installations are carried out according to project specifications, standards, and timelines.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct inspections and quality checks of electrical systems to ensure they meet safety and operational standards.
- Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Identify and resolve electrical issues that arise during construction and operational phases, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
- Compliance and Documentation: Ensure all electrical work complies with local codes, standards, and regulations. Maintain accurate records of installations, inspections, and maintenance activities.
- Coordination: Collaborate with other engineering disciplines and project teams to integrate electrical systems with other project components.
- Safety Management: Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures related to electrical work to maintain a safe working environment.
- Reporting: Prepare and submit progress reports, technical documentation, and project updates to site and project management teams.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
- bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in electrical engineering within solar or renewable energy projects, with hands-on experience at the site level.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, including installation, testing, and maintenance in the context of solar energy systems.
- Proficiency in electrical design software and MS Office Suite.
- Effective problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and handle site-based challenges.
