Engineer- Drive & Hardware

Drive and Hardware Engineer is responsible for Engineering and Commissioning of AC/DC Drives,
Design of Control systems Hardware, create electrical drawings using EPLAN software and generate
supporting documentation as per Project Requirement.
Required to work within a multi-disciplinary engineering team consisting of Application Engineers & Field
engineers.
Job requires ability of 50% travel to customer site on short notices

Specific Duties:

Engineering and commissioning of AC/DC Drives
Design Control systems Hardware & create electrical drawings using EPLAN software
Develop IO list using Motor Component List from OEM
Selection of power circuit component as per designed electrical drawings
Designing of GA, IGA of PLC Panels operator desks
Development of Technical Specification of Control Panel, Desk-Stations
Interface between Drives and Automation system using different field networks(Profibus, TC-net, Ethernet)
Adhere to engineering best practices, design standards, and engineering processes for the development.
Suggest and implement improvements to processes and standards when appropriate.
Follow document control process as per the standards prevailing.

Education
Essential: - Bachelors Degree in Electrical/ Electrical & Electronics engineering
Desired: -
Knowledge
Experience in Commissioning of Drives for Metals system.
Experience in automation control system such as drives and nV Controller.
Proficiency in Excel, Visio & Microsoft Projects
Process knowledge of Metals Processes as Hot Mill, Cold Rolling Mills, Processing lines, Bar/Wire Rod Mills etc.
Field commissioning experience is preferable

Skills and abilities:

Basic understanding of Field sensors and their interface with PLC
Good Academic Records.

Self-motivated and innovative

Experience:

3 to 5 years of experience in Engineering & Commissioning of AC/DC Drives
Experience in electrical schematics & Panel engineering e.g. Drive Panel, MCC/PLC Panels etc.
Experience in E-Plan and Visio
