Your Team
Stability Central Support Services Team is epitome of delivering superior services to Invesco. We act as a front line of support responsible for ensuring business continuity and stability of our technology platforms. We partner with Tech teams to deliver customer service excellence.
Your Role:
In your role, you will be front ending support for Applications as well as Infrastructure components of Technology. You will be looking after, Incidents and requests from business and technology teams. You will also ensure each of business-critical apps are stable for business to perform their business-as-usual activities. In this role you will be exposed to breadth of tools and technology used across Tech functions.
You Will Be Responsible For:
Support
- Design and implement solutions to address and meet logging requirements with best practices for utilizing Splunk data and visualizations.
- Manage Apps/Dashboards for license usage and Application errors.
- Setting up Splunk Forwarding/Otel Collector for new application tiers introduced into the environment.
- Identifying bad searches/dashboards and partnering with the creators to improve performance.
- Troubleshooting Splunk performance issues / Opening support cases with Splunk.
- Monitor the Splunk infrastructure for capacity planning and optimization.
- Troubleshoot log feeds, field extractions, search time, etc.
- Provide Granular, Role-based Security.
- Restrict access to sensitive logs and confidential data.

- Attend scheduled meetings with Team Lead/Department/Town Hall representation
- Become familiar with company methodologies
- Actively participate with Team Lead in creating personal development plan
- Provide the Team Lead with ideas to enhance or improve team processes and procedures and ensure agreed procedures are followed
- Attend scheduled training sessions
- Administrative activities time sheets/compliance requests
The Experience You Bring:
Work Experience / Knowledge:
- 5+ years experience in a Enterprise Monitoring Administrator role & experience in system administration and system integrations.
- Strong experience in Splunk configuration files, regular expressions (RegEx), and comfort using the Linux CLI, Windows, AWS and Azure.
- Familiarity with SOAP, REST APIs, web-based technologies, and scripting languages (JavaScript, Python, Perl, shell scripting, XML, HTML).
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, networking fundamentals, SFTP, and SSL.
- Experience with Splunk DB Connect, ITSI, Cloud logs ingestion, Terraform, Bitbucket/Git and HEC is a plus.
- Expertise in the administration, support, and operation of the Orion SolarWinds platform including Network Performance Monitor, Network Configuration Manager, Server & Application Monitor, NetFlow Traffic Analyzer and IP Address Manager
- Expertise in the use of network management protocols (e.g. SNMP, SNMP Traps, Syslog, ICMP, NetFlow,etc.)
- Scripting knowledge (Powershell, WMI, VB & Shell & etc)
- SolarWinds Software implementation knowledge including the SQL database query handling for reporting
- Previous experience in a Financial Services, highly pressured environment, essential.
- Must possess an up-to-date understanding of all Infrastructure technologies and a good technical knowledge of Wintel Services with a clear focus on Enterprise monitoring disciplines.
