We are hiring an Embedded Engineering Manager with over 14 years of experience in C/C++, RTOS, and ARM. Preferred candidates will have experience with acoustic products and strong team management skills.
Responsibilities:
- Support all design, development, test and support of firmware/embedded software applications for microcontroller based or proprietary wireless systems.
- Develop and evolve software communication protocols for wireless communication systems.
- Drive technology/development of all software projects in software department in all phrases from specification to release.
- Support customer product evaluations and discussions in order to secure the projects for the company.
- Review the R&D teams software developments and ensure that it complies with project targets and meets development timelines.
- Work closely with cross functional teams to ensure on time delivery of product.
- Participate and advise in product software specification including software architecture, feature descriptions and applications notes of the system.
- Develop, drive and evaluate software teams product software documentation as per company software policies.
- Research and evaluate in depth technical issues and/or technology opportunities and provide recommendations.
- Participate and drive ad hoc software projects and assignments as required.
- Support project teams activities and drive the resolution of issues within the product team.
- Report to management on project teams activities and targets on a weekly basis.
- Support the hiring and management of the morale of software engineering staff.
Requirement:
- Degree in Electronic/Electrical/Computer Engineering/Computer Science, Software Engineering or related fields.
- Must possess strong knowledge in C/C++, Python language. Proficiency in other programming languages is an advantage.
- Ability to understand, evaluate and propose changes to hardware schematics in a project is required.
- Experience with Arm, Cortex based microcontroller is required.
- Minimum 14 years of experience in real time embedded system.
- Strong Knowledge of the communication transport protocols, wireless protocols such as Bluetooth or other Proprietary protocols.
- Knowledge of the wireless communication protocols such as Bluetooth, wifi is a plus.
- Familiarity and ability to understand DSP programming is an advantage.
- Excellent teamwork skills, flexibility, and ability to handle multiple tasks.
