Key Responsibilities:
Design PCB layouts based on schematic designs, ensuring optimal placement and routing of components.
Work closely with hardware design engineers to translate schematics into efficient, manufacturable PCB layouts.
Ensure PCBs meet design requirements, including signal integrity, power distribution, thermal management, and EMI/EMC compliance.
Optimize PCB designs for size, cost, and manufacturability, while adhering to industry standards and certifications.
Collaborate with manufacturing partners to ensure PCB designs can be efficiently produced and tested.
Conduct design reviews and simulations to validate PCB layouts before production.
Maintain and update PCB design documentation, including layout files, Gerber files, and assembly drawings.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
Extensive experience in PCB layout design for embedded systems using tools like Altium Designer, OrCAD, or similar.
Strong knowledge of signal integrity, power distribution, and thermal management in PCB design.
Familiarity with industry standards for PCB design, including EMC/EMI considerations and IPC standards.
Experience with multi-layer PCB designs, high-speed signals, and mixed-signal circuits.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
