Position/Role: Embedded Hardware SME
Experience: 15-20 years
Qualification: Any Graduation (B.E./B Tech.) with Mechanical/Electronics/Post-Graduation (M.S./M Tech./MCA)
Roles and Responsibilities:
Technology Leadership
- Design and development of hardware components and systems, including circuit design, PCB layout, and prototyping.
- Conduct hardware testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure functionality and performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software, mechanical, and product development, to integrate hardware solutions.
- Prepare and maintain documentation, including schematics, design specifications, test plans, and reports.
- Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve design quality.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in hardware engineering.
- Support the manufacturing and production processes by providing technical assistance and resolving hardware-related issues.
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and tools.
Stakeholder Management and Client Engagement
- Work with global clientele in healthcare/medical devices and/or Life Sciences industry.
- Work with key stakeholders at the clients with acute focus on client satisfaction
- Collaborate with sales leadership team during sales/pre-sales cycle and help grow the client account(s).
- Help identify growth opportunities in respective areas of expertise.
People Management
- Manage the team of engineers onsite and offshore (developers, QA etc.) during project execution/delivery.
Skills and Experience:
- Overall experience of 20+ years in IT Services companies preferably in healthcare/Medical Devices/Life Sciences domain.
- Currently leading a team of offshore embedded engineers in ER&D Services company supporting USA/Europe companies (e.g. Tata Elxsi, HCL, LTTS)
- Embedded technology leader with a strong experience in leading global teams on development of complex medical devices. Led large teams across new product development, regulatory products launched globally including US (FDA-PMA and 510K) and MDD requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to lead architecture, design and implementation of Embedded projects.
- Strong technical exposure to development (Embedded), V&V and other quality processes and good understanding of SDLC using Agile methodology and process/tools.
- Excellent understanding of analogue, digital circuits and Power electronics.
- Should have worked on generating or conceptualizing system level solution for complex systems
- Good understanding of hardware design standards and methodologies.
- Good understanding on electrification motor design, motor controllers,
- Experience in software, systems and electronic development embedded systems Tool & Automation development using scripting.
- Embedded C Programming skills
- Experience with development and debugging tools (such as Software Configuration Management, debuggers, timing analysis, static analysis, logic analysers, multi-meters, etc.) to perform development and troubleshooting
- Experience in people management & possess strong leadership skills.
- Experience in client engagement and onsite/offshore team engagement.
- Very strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Learnability - Ability learn and adapt in fast changing business environment.
- Ability to upgrade himself/herself with latest technology and keep abreast with latest trends in healthcare industry.
- Rich experience in executing development programs in line with regulatory needs in medical Industry.
- Proven track record of managing and ensuring deliverables within agreed timelines and budgets.
- Extensive experience and manage key stakeholders in North American and/or European customers.
- Understanding and experience with Agile Methodology and processes.
- Experience working in global onsite/offshore model preferably US healthcare/Medical devices and Life Sciences customers.
- Understanding of FDA regulations and processes (e.g. ISO 13485, IEC 62304, ISO 14971, 21 CFR Part 11, CSV)
