Mission of the Role: Development of EMC design concepts with cross functional teams and plan for projects.
Key Objectives of this Role:
- Review and analyze customer requirements;
- Development of EMC design concepts with cross functional teams;
- Development of EMC design plan for projects;
- Request EMC simulations review results to adjust design concept and per simulation optimizations;
- Participate in Technical Design Reviews with internal HW team to review for EMC topics at both Schematic and board layout levels;
- Participate in Technical Design Reviews with external customers lead EMC relevant part of review;
- Conduct pre-compliance EMC testing and fix issue found to assure Validation first time pass at Design Validation Testing;
- Follow Product Development Process to develop and deliver product designs;
- Participate in process improvement activities to evolve better processes, based lessons learned.
Qualification, Experience and Skills:
- Motivated self-starter, able to work with multiple projects in a Global organization;
- Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities;
- Disciplined, methodic and structured execution of tasks;
- Problem solving oriented mindset, driving for solutions;
- Strong organizational and planning skills;
- Able to provide Leadership to regional team members.
- BSEE degree, MSEE preferred;
- 12 to 15 years, experience in the automotive/aerospace/industrial domains;
- With at least 7 years in EMC test or EMC design. iNARTE certified (EMC engineer or EMC Design engineer) a plus;
- Familiar with power supply design (linear, SMP), memory devices, displays (TFT), graphical display controllers, communication interfaces (CAN, Automotive Ethernet, LIN, USB2, USB3, A2B, Bluetooth, & Wi/Fi), tuners, antennas, audio amplifiers, automotive systems, microprocessors, SOCs, ASIC's, FPGA's;
- Understanding High Speed Digital Signal PCB routing to achieve compliant emissions;
- Understanding of overall product design for EMC including Mechanical, Display, Electrical, and Software;
- Significant hands-on experience in troubleshoot EMC issues, both test setup and product design.
- Excellent English oral and written communication skills.
- Circuit design experience for any of the above;
- Knowledge of how to interpret EMC Simulation results and the impact overall design;
- Knowledge of Signal Integrity, Power Integrity, and the mutual effects on EMC;
- EMC Simulation, Signal Integrity, Power Integrity experience and result analysis is a plus;
- Global working experience and good understanding of cross-country cultural aspects is added advantage.
