Position Overview:
Job Summary
We seek an experienced and motivated Production Supervisor to oversee our production operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that production processes run smoothly, efficiently, and safely. They will manage a team of production workers and be responsible for meeting production targets, maintaining quality standards, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and motivate production staff to meet production goals and maintain high-quality standards.
- Production Planning: Collaborate with the Production Manager to develop production schedules and allocate resources effectively to meet production targets.
- Quality Control: Ensure that all products meet quality standards by monitoring production processes and conducting regular inspections.
- Safety Compliance: Promote a safe work environment by enforcing safety protocols, conducting safety training, and addressing any safety concerns promptly.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in production processes and implement changes to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
- Troubleshooting: Address and resolve production issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.
- Reporting: Maintain accurate production records, prepare reports on production performance, and communicate any issues or delays to management.
- Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and finished products, coordinating with the procurement team to ensure timely replenishment.
- Employee Development: Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for production staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in manufacturing, engineering, or a related field is a plus.
- Experience:Diploma/Degree with 1 to 5 years of experience as Supervisor or Front Line Leaders in Production/Assembly line
Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of production processes, equipment, and machinery.
- Proficiency in using production management software and tools.
- Knowledge of quality control principles and safety regulations.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, OSHA) are a plus.
Working Conditions
- The role may require working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with exposure to noise and machinery.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Physically able to perform supervisory tasks, including standing, walking, and lifting
