In this role you have the opportunity to
Manage high impact, complex sustaining & transfer projects that enables Philips to reduce risk, improve profitability, align with Philips strategic supply base and optimize supply chain flexibility. The primary function within this role is to execute engineering activities through the course of fast-paced, high quality transfer and sustaining projects.
You will be responsible for driving meaningful and innovative product development, generating ideas/concepts in feature development to improve quality and reduce cost, as well as performing the role of a technical lead in taking the product development through manufacturing release while transferring products between suppliers and manage sustaining of different devices by following PDLM-MLD process.
To be part of an exciting team and contribute to the design, development and maintenance of Medical system, components and products. In this role of Sr Electrical Engineer -Analog & Digital -Sustaining Engineering, you are responsible for the development and maintenance of Hardware Systems/Subsystems and will gain substantial knowledge of complex systems in medical environment. Together with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, you play a crucial role in getting these systems/sub-systems to the required performance, by understanding the electrical, electronics and controls and looking for the best solutions within those boundaries. This requires broad orientation, conceptual skills and a can do mentality.
You are responsible for:
Circuit design including schematics entry, modeling, simulation, and analysis of circuits and their controls
Ensuring that the design is consistent with the higher-level architecture and requirements
Ensuring that the proposed design would have the safety, reliability and quality features built-in
Responsible for ensuring that the design meets the performance, quality and cost criteria
Conduct concept and feasibility studies. Leads the introduction of new technologies
Ensuring that there is proper documentation per standards for the developed design
Ensuring the mutual consistency and efficient integration of the separate components in modular design that meets the product specification
Ensuring that his design modules meet the product certification requirements
Drawing up personal schedule and reports on progress
Defining and assessing the Work Breakdown Structure/planning/costs of his/her area
Being abreast of technical developments in own field through study of literature and technical contacts
Maintaining product and company reputation by complying with country specific regulations

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:
Completed engineering studies at University level; BE/BTech/ME/M-Tech in Electronics or Electrical Engineering, with 4 to 6 years of relevant experience.
Experience working in, but not limited to:
PCB schematics entry, layout design
Component placement and routing for highspeed signals
Analog and digital signals
ADC/DAC interfaces, Microcontroller, Power regulators and memory devices
Simulation of the circuit for function check
Generate simulation result for analysis with design team
Knowledge of device characteristics relevant to power electronics, such as: MOSFETs, IGBTs, BJTs, JFETs, diodes, various capacitor families, etc.
Knowledge of selection, design, and test the whole product development cycle for power electronics systems.
Thermal design experience related to power semiconductors for both natural and forced air convection including thermal interfacing and dissipation
Knowledge of state-of-the-art methods/tools (schematics/simulation) used in electrical design
Experience in Analog, Mixed Signal Board Design and Power Electronics designs
Experience in 16/32-bit microcontroller-based design and interfacing
Knowledge of communication interfaces like RS232, RS485, CAN, Ethernet and USB
Knowledge of EMI/EMC, Environmental and Hi-pot standards and testing for conformance
Knowledge of mechanical design compatibility aspects
Knowledge of IEC 60601 standards will be an added advantage
Knowledge of Embedded Software Programming will be an added advantage
Ability to understand and debug problems across hardware/software boundaries
Knowledge of Global Medical Quality and Regulatory Standards e.g. IEC, FDA, UL, CE, CSA etc.
Hands-on experience with PLM tools like Agile, Clear-quest, Windchill or equivalent
Disciplined team worker, ability to work independently
Result oriented team player
Ability to present and articulate ideas to key stakeholders and leadership team
Excellent communication skills and Positive can do attitude
Quality mindset in design and documentation
Global and Cross-functional Experience/Skills in a Matrix Organization will be an added advantage
New Product Introduction (NPI) and Product Life Cycle Management
Product Obsolescence Management/Sustenance and Value Engineering
