Responsibilities: Create and update electrical drawings, layouts, and diagrams as required.
Utilize AutoCAD software to create detailed design layouts, assembly drawings and models.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including process engineers, project managers and
procurement to understand project requirements and ensure designs meet functional and
operational objectives.
Conduct feasibility studies and evaluate design concepts to determine their suitability,
considering factors such as safety, cost, reliability and manufacturability.
Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards and regulations throughout the design
process.
Prepare and manage comprehensive bills of materials for projects. Ensure accuracy and
completeness of BOMs to facilitate procurement and manufacturing processes.
Follow up and coordinate with vendors to ensure timely delivery of components and materials.
Evaluate vendor proposals and ensure they meet project specifications and requirements.
Monitor project progress and make adjustments as needed to meet deadlines..
Provide technical support and guidance to manufacturing and installation teams. Troubleshoot
and resolve design-related issues during the production and installation phases.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Proven experience in electrical design and drafting, preferably in a the Oil and Gas industry.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant design software.
Strong understanding of electrical components, systems, and standards.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to perform calculations and
simulations to validate design concepts.
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work with precision.
Excellent communication skills to collaborate with internal teams, clients and suppliers.
Excellent knowledge of manufacturing processes and considerations for optimizing design for manufacturability.
