Key Responsibilities:
- Design & Adaptation: Lead design adaptation activities for lugs and electrical connectors in the product portfolio to meet custom specifications.
- Supplier Collaboration: Work closely with the R&D and design teams in India to develop and refine designs, ensuring alignment with needs.
- Compliance & Certification: Ensure that all redesigned products meet UL certification standards and comply with safety regulations.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Facilitate seamless communication and collaboration between USA to maintain alignment on project goals and timelines.
Required Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Technical Expertise: Demonstrated experience in design activities related to electrical connectors, lugs, lugs boxes, and wires.
- UL Certification Knowledge: Strong understanding of the UL certification process for electrical components.
- Collaborative Skills: Ability to work effectively within an international, cross-functional team, with a strong preference for candidates based in India to enable close interaction.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Significant experience with the design and adaptation of electrical connectors, especially lugs and lugs boxes.
- Previous experience working closely with suppliers on product customization and adaptation.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of managing complex design and certification requirements.
