Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Electrical & Automation Manager at Susha Founders & Engineers in Surat. The manager will be responsible for overseeing the electrical and automation systems related to the manufacturing processes of foundry machines. Day-to-day tasks include managing electrical design department, designing machine automation systems (PLC, Hydraulics & pneumatics), coordinating with the production team & vendors to ensure that projects are delivered as per timeline.
Desired Skills & Qualification
- Qualification Diploma or B-tech in Electrical, Instrumentation, E&I
- Experience of around 12-15 years preferred.
- Hydraulic Systems, Control panel, PLC & Ac drive knowledge must
- Computer Skills MS Word, MS Office, MS PowerPoint
- Programming Mitsubishi PLC Programming knowledge preferred
- Proven experience working in a supervisory/managerial role in the manufacturing industry preferred with ability to handle manpower
- Experience in manufacturing industry preferred.
- Good Presentation & Communication skills
- Able to deal with multiple projects simultaneously
- Knowledge of 5S, Lean, TQM, Kaizen must
- Ability to create & follow production plan
- Organizational skills & willingness to take accountability
Job Responsibilities & Duties
Design & Development
- Designing Electrical Systems & hydraulic systems for Machines.
- Ordering & timely follow up with suppliers for electrical panel, hydraulic power packs, & electronics components. Maintaining proper communication
- Product selection for electrical/electronic/hydraulic systems as per requirement. Meet vendors time to time and keeps himself updated with new products launched
- Drive product standardization & Cost reduction initiatives.
- Work with Programming vendors for machine programming.
- Involve in new developments from inception to successful implementation.
- Design calculations for pneumatic & hydraulic circuits
Customers side
- Attend customer end support calls to address their issues & maintain a log of all the complaints customer wise/machine wise with solutions.
- Travel to customer sites for studying requirements for new developments
- Travel to site for problem solving if not addressed by service team, as needed.

Routine Responsibilities
- Responsible for coordinating, planning, monitoring and supervising the entire electrical department activities. Ensuring all the activities are in place on day to day basis. Will report directly to management.
- Ensure that machines are manufactured as per annexure & dispatched with proper inspection.
- Work closely with Design team to provide feedback on drawings related to Electrical, pneumatic panel, hydraulic powerpack & gassing panel
- Housekeeping & cleanliness in respective departments.
- Continuously focus on time reduction, resource optimization to speed up the machine wiring & trial activity & improve performance
- Attends customers during inspection/trails at our works
- Supports commissioning team as and when needed.
- Maintains proper documentation (checklist, pictures, etc) of manufactured machines.
