As an Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) Designer utilizing Smart 3D (S3D), you will be responsible for creating detailed designs and layouts for electrical and instrumentation systems in various engineering projects. You will collaborate closely with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure that designs meet project requirements, safety standards, and industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design Development: Utilize Smart 3D software to develop detailed designs and layouts for electrical and instrumentation systems based on project specifications and requirements.
- Collaboration: Work closely with engineering teams, project managers, and other stakeholders to understand project objectives and ensure that design solutions meet technical and functional requirements.
- Compliance: Ensure that all designs comply with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations, including electrical codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
- Documentation: Prepare detailed drawings, schematics, and documentation to support the design process, including equipment layouts, wiring diagrams, and material specifications.
- Review and Modification: Review designs for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with specifications, and make necessary modifications as required.
- Coordination: Coordinate with other design disciplines, such as civil, mechanical, and structural, to integrate electrical and instrumentation systems with overall project designs.
- Technical Support: Provide technical support and assistance to construction teams during the implementation phase, including resolving design-related issues and clarifying specifications.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct quality checks on design deliverables to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to project standards.
- Training and Development: Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements in electrical and instrumentation design, and participate in training programs as required to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience in electrical and instrumentation design, preferably in the engineering, construction, or manufacturing industry.
- Proficiency in Smart 3D (S3D) software and other relevant design tools and software applications.
- Strong understanding of electrical and instrumentation principles, codes, and standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
