The Auto Platform Infra organization at Qualcomm is looking for experienced Elastic Data Engineer to join our dynamic team responsible for ensuring the reliability, availability & performance of our software development activities and services. This is done by visualizing and creating insight about for example IT infrastructure, software builds, data collection, data annotation as we'll as requirement and test result tracking.
Job Overview
- Utilize existing off-the-shelf tools such as Datadog for infrastructure monitoring.
- Understand underlying data sources, ingest them into Elastic and present them to end users with Kibana dashboards.
- Work closely with engineering and IT teams to build and maintain a scalable visualization platform.
Minimum Qualifications
- bachelors degree in computer science engineering or related field.
- 3+ years exp in DevOps or Software engineering.
- Experience in monitoring large scale, distributed system for reliability.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools like Grafana and Elastic.
- Experience in at least one high level programming language such as Python.
- Effective communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
- Experience in working in an Agile context.
- Experience in Linux with Kubernetes and git.
- Experience using source code management platforms such as GitHub, Gerrit or GitLab.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications such as Elastic Certified Engineer or Elastic Certified Analyst
- Experience developing and supporting one or more products throughout all phases of the software development lifecycle using CI/CD methodologies.
- Experience in infrastructure as code provisioning tooling such as Ansible and Terraform.
- Experience working on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud.
- Solid understanding of networking principles and protocols.
- 3 to 6 years of experience in Software engineering.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR
Masters degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
2+ years of academic or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc
