Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Editor to join our team and oversee the editorial direction of Blueverve Magazine both for print and digital. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in health and wellness journalism, exceptional writing and editing skills, and a keen understanding of the longevity sector. You will be responsible for curating high-quality content, managing the editorial team, and ensuring that our magazine remains at the forefront of longevity discourse.
Key Responsibilities:
Content Development:
- Generate, develop, and edit engaging content focused on longevity, health, and wellness
- Collaborate with writers, health experts, and researchers to produce high-quality articles, features, and interviews
Editorial Oversight:
- Review and edit submissions for clarity, accuracy, style, and adherence to our publication standards
- Ensure all content is thoroughly fact-checked and meets ethical journalism standards
Strategic Planning:
- Work closely with the editorial team to establish and implement content calendars and editorial strategies that align with our mission
- Identify emerging trends and topics within the longevity space to keep our content fresh and relevant
Collaboration:
- Foster relationships with contributors, advertisers, and partners to expand our network and enhance our content offerings
- Coordinate with design and marketing teams to create visually appealing layouts and promotional materials
Audience Engagement:
- Analyze readership metrics and feedback to refine our content strategy and enhance audience engagement
- Represent Longevity Magazine at industry events, conferences, and workshops as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Health Sciences, or a related field
- Proven experience as an editor or in a similar editorial role, preferably in health, wellness, or lifestyle publications
- Strong understanding of longevity topics, trends, and research
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with a keen eye for detail
- Excellent organizational and project management abilities
- Proficient in using editorial and content management systems
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
