Description
We are looking for an experienced ED Coder to join our team. The ideal candidate should have 2-8 years of experience in the Indian job market context. The ED Coder will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely coding of emergency department medical records.
Responsibilities
- Review medical records to ensure proper coding of diagnoses and procedures
- Work with physicians and other healthcare professionals to clarify diagnoses and procedures
- Ensure compliance with all coding guidelines and regulations
- Stay current with changes in coding guidelines and regulations
- Provide coding education and training to staff as needed
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management or related field
- Certification as a Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) or Certified Professional Coder (CPC)
- Minimum of 2 years experience in ED coding
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- In-depth knowledge of coding guidelines and regulations
- Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
