We are looking for someone who is a mid level logistics and operations person who can manage both Domestic and International shipments for Mookuthi
We are a young business, currently investing in people who can be solid team players and build the foundation processes for the logistics and operations side of the business.
We love designing systems and processes to solve for challenges that we may face. At Mookuthi, we get our hands dirty, to understand the task at hand fully well, and set up systems and processes to ready the business for growth.
And, one more thing - we love data. We find different ways to collate and compile data, so that it can present interesting insights eventually.
Responsibilities, not limited to
- Inventory Management : you will be required to design an optimised inventory management system, with the founder, that ensures that there is always is a piece, ready to ship, for the consumer yet at the same time does not lock capital in the form of dead assets.
- Logistics : swiftly manage movement of products/raw materials between artisan, warehouse & consumers. At any point, you need to have razor sharp information, building systems to prevent pilferage.
- Troubleshooting : Everyday isnt going to be smooth. Some shipments misplaced, some lost, some stuck - Resolve these issues and ensure all escalations are handled effectively.
- Insurance : We are terrible at digesting any news that says our lovely work is lost or damaged. Nevertheless, when this happens, we need to systematically have it covered by insurance.
- Relationships : we thrice on relationships. At Mookuthi, it is important to have a healthy work relationship within the team, with vendors, with shipping partners, with artisans and with consumers. This isn't just a value, but a responsibility.
- International shipping : you will be working with gold and movement of gold between countries could be tricky with customs involved. You are required to tackle escalations, if any and maintain a strong paper trail for the same.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional experience
- Bachelor's degree in equivalent experience
- Experience with an e commerce business is an added advantage
- Loves working in a startup environment
