Key Responsibilities:
Design and Development:
Design and develop drone hardware, including airframes, propulsion systems, and electronic components.
Create and implement control algorithms for flight stability and navigation.
Integrate sensors and payloads for specific applications.
Testing and Troubleshooting:
Conduct rigorous testing of drone systems to ensure reliability and performance.
Identify and resolve technical issues related to hardware and software.
Perform field tests and analyze flight data to improve drone capabilities.
Collaboration:
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, mechanical engineers, and product managers.
Collaborate with external partners and suppliers to source components and materials.
Innovation and Improvement:
Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in drone technology and industry trends.
Continuously improve drone designs for enhanced performance, efficiency, and safety.
Develop new features and capabilities for existing drone platforms.
Documentation:
Prepare detailed technical documentation, including design specifications, test reports, and user manuals.
Maintain accurate records of development processes and design iterations.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.
Experience:
Proven experience in drone development, including hardware and software integration.
Proficiency in CAD software for designing mechanical components.
Experience with flight control systems and autonomous navigation.
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of aerodynamics, propulsion systems, and material science.
Familiarity with embedded systems and programming languages such as C/C++, Python, or MATLAB.
Experience with sensor integration (e.g., GPS, IMU, LiDAR, cameras).
Soft Skills:
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with UAV certification processes and regulatory compliance.
Knowledge of machine learning and computer vision applications in drones.
Hands-on experience with 3D printing and rapid prototyping
