We are hiring Draftsmen for a leading Construction Company
The position of Draftsmen is critical to our organization as it involves creating technical drawings and plans for construction and engineering projects. Draftsmen work closely with engineers and architects to bring designs to life through detailed drawings. This role is vital in ensuring that construction projects are accurately executed based on the provided designs.
Key Responsibilities
- Create detailed drawings using AutoCAD software
- Understand and interpret architectural and engineering designs
- Collaborate with engineering and architectural teams to ensure accurate and timely completion of drawings
- Review drawings for accuracy and compliance with project requirements
- Assist in the preparation of structural and architectural plans
- Provide support in the modification and revision of drawings as per feedback
- Ensure adherence to drafting standards and best practices
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate drawing tasks
- Contribute to the maintenance and organization of drawing files and records
- Participate in site visits to gather relevant information for drawings
- Seek continuous improvement in drafting processes and techniques
- Assist in the documentation of design changes and updates
- Resolve technical drawing issues in collaboration with the project team
- Stay updated on industry standards and technological advancements in drafting
Required Qualifications
- Completion of Diploma or B.E. in Civil Engineering or related field
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and drafting software
- Basic understanding of construction and architectural principles
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Knowledge of building codes and regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Aptitude for problem-solving and critical thinking
- Ability to work efficiently and meet tight deadlines
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes
- Dedication to maintaining high-quality standards in drafting work
- Understanding of measurement and scale in technical drawings
- Basic knowledge of structural engineering concepts
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Commitment to safety and compliance in construction projects
Candidates having knowledge in AutoCAD and SketchUp.
Work Location : Mogappair West, Chennai.
