We are hiring Draftsman for a leading Construction Company
Overview
The Draftsman role at our company is crucial to the success of our design and engineering projects. As a Draftsman, you will be responsible for creating technical drawings and plans based on specifications provided by engineers and architects. Your attention to detail and ability to accurately interpret and execute design requirements will ensure the successful completion of our projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Create detailed technical drawings and plans using AutoCAD software
- Collaborate with engineers and architects to understand project requirements
- Review and analyze specifications, sketches, and design data
- Ensure that all drawings comply with industry and company standards
- Prepare drawings for construction projects, including architectural, structural, and mechanical plans
- Coordinate with project managers to meet deadlines and project milestones
- Make revisions to drawings as per feedback from project teams
- Communicate with team members to clarify drawing details and requirements
- Assist in the preparation of material take-offs and bill of materials
- Provide support in creating and maintaining drawing databases and archives
- Conduct on-site visits to verify accuracy and completeness of drawings
- Coordinate with external contractors and vendors as needed
- Adhere to safety and quality standards in all draftsmanship activities
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in drafting technology
- Participate in meetings and contribute insights for continuous improvement
Required Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelorâs degree in Drafting, Engineering, Architecture, or related field
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other drafting software
- 2+ years of experience in technical drawing and drafting
- Strong understanding of construction and engineering principles
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work
- Good communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to interpret and implement design requirements
- Problem-solving abilities in resolving drawing issues
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations
- Capability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of material take-off and bill of materials processes
- Flexibility to conduct on-site visits and coordination with external partners
- Adherence to safety protocols and quality standards
- Continuous learning and adaptation to new drafting technologies
- Team player with a proactive and positive attitude
Candidates Should Have Previous Working Experience In Architect Firm.
Candidates should be able to make BOQ's and should know how to work around sites.
Candidates should be proficient in AutoCAD,excel and PPT.
