Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Dispatch Supervisor to ensure the smooth and efficient transportation of goods for our company. As a Dispatch Supervisor, you will be responsible for coordinating with drivers and other team members to ensure timely delivery, managing dispatch operations, and maintaining accurate records. This is a full-time position based in Faridabad, Haryana, India.
Qualifications and Skills
- 2 to 6 years of experience in dispatch or logistics management
- Strong knowledge of dispatch processes and transportation regulations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other computer skills
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Knowledge of loading and unloading procedures
- Experience in a manufacturing or similar industry is preferred
- Good communication and leadership skills
Roles and Responsibilities
- Coordinate and oversee the dispatch operations, ensuring the timely delivery of goods
- Assign and schedule drivers for transportation tasks
- Monitor driver performance and provide guidance to enhance efficiency
- Maintain accurate records of dispatched goods, including delivery schedules, vehicle information, and customer details
- Coordinate with the warehouse team to ensure proper loading and unloading of goods
- Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and internal teams to resolve any delivery-related issues
- Ensure compliance with transportation laws and regulations
- Implement and maintain quality control measures to minimize errors and ensure customer satisfaction
- Monitor inventory levels and report any shortages or damages to the relevant departments
- Provide regular reports and updates to management regarding dispatch operations and performance
