Job Description
Media Measurement is a business unit within the larger NielsenIQ family that has a unique business and product portfolio serving Media Measurement and Audience Industry clients. We serve clients across different regions primarily in APAC and Europe. Our solutions provide a Full View on the Viewing, Listening and Digital behaviour of consumers, providing our clients with key insights for critical business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
As the Director of MM Engineering and Data Science team in India , you will be a cornerstone in establishing a vibrant culture of innovation and collaboration within the distributed global Tech & Science organisation. This role is crafted for an individual who shines as a motivational leader and excels in the technical and analytical realms. Your mission will be to establish and cultivate a first class in team environment that nurtures professional growth, encourages open dialogue, and drives forward with a shared vision.
You can expect to go broad and deep on our tech stack, and across multiple products in your business segment, all the while leading a best-in-class team. You will be playing a key part in contributing to the delivery of critical programs that are strategically aligned to our overall business strategy and growth objectives.
- Cultivate Excellence: Build and lead a team of engineers and data scientists by establishing a supportive and empowering environment where innovation thrives.
- Collaboration: Engage with internal key stakeholders (from Tech/ Science/ Operations and Product) to understand business needs and translate these needs into executable solutions, while managing expectations, and gathering requirements.
- Team Dynamics: Foster a collaborative culture that values each member's contribution, promoting a sense of unity and purpose within diverse and cross-functional teams.
- Professional Development: Champion the ongoing development of team members through mentorship, coaching, and providing growth opportunities in alignment with personal aspirations and the organization's needs.

Required Skills And Experience
- Educational Background: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related fields.
- Professional Experience: At least 10 years of relevant experience in technology and data science, with a minimum of 5 years in leadership roles focused on team building and development in global organisation.
- Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead, inspire, and develop high-performing and diverse teams in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- People Skills: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, adept at conflict resolution, team building, and fostering a positive work environment.
- Strategic Planning: Solid experience in setting strategic direction for technical teams, aligning project deliverables with business goals.
- Adaptability: Ability to adapt leadership style and strategies to meet the evolving needs of the team and projects.
- Cultural Fit: A commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and a leadership style that promotes respect, integrity, and accountability.
- Led cross-functional, highly distributed teams through the execution of large-scale projects using Agile development
- Experience driving progress towards the model of CI/CD, TDD, Containerization, Container management and orchestration.
- Solid experience in large scale applications on the Cloud specifically using AWS Cloud native services.
- (Nice to have) Industry Knowledge: Solid understanding of the media measurement landscape, with insights into the latest trends and technologies.
