Attentive is a fast-growing vertical SaaS start-up, funded by PeakXV Partners (erstwhile Sequoia Capital India and SEA), Vertex Ventures, and InfoEdge Venture Fund, that provides innovative software solutions for construction, landscape, and paving industries in the United States and Canada. Our mission is to help businesses in this space improve their operations and grow their revenue through our simple & easy-to-use software platform. We're looking for a dynamic individual to join our team and work alongside the senior leadership as the Director, Strategy & Ops.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to join our team as the Director, Strategy & Ops. An ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in management consulting or founders office roles at high-growth tech companies or as an entrepreneur. In this position, you will play a critical role in aligning strategy with execution, managing key projects, facilitating communication across teams, and supporting the co-founders in driving organizational growth. This is an ideal opportunity for future entrepreneurs.

Responsibilities Of The Role

  • Strategic Planning and Execution: Collaborate with senior leadership to formulate and execute long-term strategies that guide the company's growth trajectory.
  • Project Management: Oversee cross-functional projects, ensuring they align with strategic objectives. This includes setting project goals, tracking progress, and motivating teams.
  • Cross-Functional Alignment: Act as a conduit between different departments, ensuring that information flows smoothly and that all teams are aligned with the company's goals.
  • Stakeholder Management: Serve as a point of contact for internal communications, e.g., all-hands, offsites, and external communications, including investor meetings, board decks, key customer meetings, ensuring that communications are consistent and aligned with company vision.
  • Operational Efficiency: Develop and monitor key performance indicators to measure progress toward objectives. Identify operational bottlenecks and implement streamlined processes.
  • Implementation of OKRs: Implement OKRs to ensure that the company's strategic goals are met effectively.
  • Special Projects and Initiatives: Manage and execute special projects, which can range from GTM initiatives to corporate restructuring to developing strategic partnerships, depending on organizational need

Requirements For The Role

  • 3+ years of experience in management consulting or founders office roles at high-growth tech companies or as an entrepreneur
  • Tier 1 education experience is a plus
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including experience in building strong internal and external relationships
  • Ability to understand the big picture and align daily operations with long-term goals
  • Capable of leading cross-functional teams and influencing without direct authority
  • Proficient in data analysis to inform decision-making processes
  • Experience in managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders
