THE ROLE
Responsibilities
The Sales Operations Director will play a pivotal role in driving the strategic direction of the sales function, ensuring operational excellence, and maximizing revenue growth. The ideal candidate will deeply understand sales processes, data analytics, and operational efficiencies within a fast-paced, growth-oriented fintech environment. This role requires strong leadership, analytical thinking, and department collaboration to enhance sales performance. The responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Collaborating with the internal team and senior leadership to develop and implement sales strategies that align with business goals while supporting annual sales forecasting, target setting, and resource allocation
- Evaluating, designing, and implementing efficient sales processes and workflows to streamline operations, improve lead management, and increase sales productivity
- Establishing and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess sales team performance while influencing data-driven decision-making by analyzing sales metrics and providing actionable insights to improve results
- Overseeing the adoption and use of Salesforce and Tableau, ensuring they are optimized for effectiveness while providing training and support to the sales team on these tools
- Working closely with marketing, product, and sales teams to ensure they have the necessary tools, content, and training to effectively engage prospects and close deals
- Leading the creation of regular reports on sales performance, pipeline activity, and market trends while presenting insights and recommendations to leadership for improving overall sales effectiveness
- Managing the sales operations budget to ensure resources are allocated effectively to meet business objectives while identifying opportunities to enhance resource efficiency and reduce costs to maximize ROI on sales activities
- Building, leading, and mentoring the sales operations team while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence and ensuring that sales operations adhere to regulatory standards and best practices while minimizing operational risk and maximizing efficiency

The Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field. MBA or other advanced degrees preferred.
- 15+ years of experience in sales operations, with at least 4 years in a leadership role within a fintech, SaaS, Edutech or technology-driven company
- Proven experience in driving sales process improvements, implementing CRM systems, and managing sales tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to leverage data to drive decision-making and process optimization
- Superior communication, presentation and facilitation skills with the ability to express complex concepts in plain language to reach broader audiences
- Demonstrated ability to set up compliance standards in sales
- Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot), data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), and other sales enablement platforms
A passion for financial inclusion and access to higher education is a must, as well as comfort working with a global team across multiple time zones and locations!
In addition, you should be comfortable working in a fast growth environment, meaning a small agile team, fast-evolving roles and responsibilities, variable workload, tight deadlines, a high degree of autonomy, and 80-20 everything.
