ROLE PROFILE:
The Director, Research, Insights & Analytics, (Corporate Affairs & Marketing) has two main accountabilities:
- Insights & Analytics: driving data-driven solutions and performance measurement to support business objectives, optimize campaign planning, and deliver actionable insights across various functions including CAM and Sales and Account Management.
- Customer and Market Research: builds the capability to measure performance and lead all aspects of the operational and executive-level reporting suite, providing insight on performance, product development, UX testing and Market surveys.
ROLE SUMMARY:
The team owns the development of data-driven solutions that generate actionable insight supporting Group-wide business objectives.
The Director role builds the capability to measure performance and oversees the operational and executive-level reporting suite that provides insight on performance, and guidance on campaign planning and optimization across all areas of CAM, including marketing, communications and sustainability. This role also supports the other businesses e.g. Sales and Account Management and Operations through delivering customized analytics that advise on growth objectives.
The ideal candidate will have B2B marketing analytics experience that involves building performance measurement frameworks and developing reporting solutions and predictive analytics that help address key business challenges.
Qualitative and quantitative research experience is required for this role, as is the capability to lead stakeholder relationships and translate complex analysis into persuasive presentations and actionable deliverables.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
- Oversee a team responsible for developing analytics and reporting solutions
- Collaborate with Marketing to develop segment-specific campaign attribution and measurement strategy across the Awareness, Acquisition and Retention lifecycle, enabling Marketers to understand cross-funnel campaign performance, design better campaigns and optimize budget.
- Partner with Technology to develop and action on capabilities roadmap that will establish the data and governance infrastructure required to enable measurement strategy.
- Provide thought leadership and mentorship on assessing ROI, and on leveraging machine learning to develop growth-propensity modeling, customer churn modeling and lead scoring.
- Contribute to Benchmark & Index regulatory reporting process through the acquisition and analysis of fund data.
- Leads a team of researchers, research leaders, programmers, data analysts, and statisticians Build a high-performing team by fostering collaboration, encouraging innovation, and empowering team members to drive actionable insights.
- Acts as knowledge expert and ambassador for teams and all stakeholders and coordinates and reviews complex client research deliverables.
- Identifies and leads on research opportunities to add value for the organisation, securing budget and planning internal and external resources
- Leads research to advise the team's strategy and operations, overseeing the production of content and thought leadership studies
- Responsible for the delivery of key customer experience monitors to a diverse range of internal stakeholders.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
- Degree or equivalent and knowledge of the Financial Services sector.
- Strong track record and experience on delivering market research / voice of the customer and delivering analytics and insight
- Robust communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical analysis into clear and actionable insight and storytelling.
- Ability to build and nurture team member relationships and lead cross-functional projects to successful completion
- Experience in building data pipelines, reconciling disparate, incongruent datasets. Strong SQL programming ability.
- Experience with working in an organization with a mature Marketing Technology environment. Familiarity with Salesforce, Eloqua, Adobe Analytics, survey tools and multiple research methodologies.
- Experience in applying machine learning to address sales growth and customer retention challenges.
- Familiarity with Tableau or Power BI.
- Ability to craft and deliver Thought Leadership projects to support growth and understand sentiment.
- Proactively seeks opportunities where market research and analytics play a key role.
