Summary
This role is responsible for leading the Sales function at Trident, Hyderabad. The incumbent will ensure that budgeted occupancy and revenue targets are exceeded. This will be done by managing key customer relationships, managing a team of motivated sales people and ensuring that remote offices and channels are aligned with the hotel's objectives.
Responsibilities
- To develop a plan by customer, industry segment, room type and geography to achieve targeted performance on occupancy, ARR and RevPar.
- To closely monitor competition activity and strategy and modify actions accordingly.
- Strategic deals with tour operators and business partners to increase market share
- Effective implementation of sales plan and incorporate new strategies based on demand cycles.
- Maintains professional and close contact with customers, guests and competition to earn goodwill and incorporate recommended changes in services and amenities.
- Prepares the annual budget for the hotel and updates at least quarterly.
- Constantly liaises with remote sales offices to maximize opportunities in all geographies.
- Responsible for Banquet Sales and Revenue Management of the unit.
- To maintain key and potential customer database for communication and mailing
- Regular review of performance of the sales team, identification of strengths and areas of improvement and providing guidance for improvement.
- Develop strategic and tactical plans for business and ensure implementation.
- Propose and recommend pricing strategy to cope with changing market.
Qualifications
- Relevant experience of 20+ years with last 5 years as an HOD
- Good leadership skills to lead an effective sales force
- Sharp analytical mind with attention to detail.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Professional approach and demeanor.
- Good interpersonal and team skills.
- Strong strategic skills to analyse mid range to long term effects of action and strategies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
