Job Description
The Director of Power for Automotive Applications India will spearhead the promotion and support of power semiconductor products and solutions tailored for automotive applications both at emerging and established OEMs and Tier1s in India. Focusing on critical areas such as Traction Inverters, OnBoard Chargers (OBC)/DC-DC converters, Zonal Architecture, and Vehicle Control systems, this role requires an in-depth understanding of automotive power systems and strong customer engagement skills. The Director will guide automotive customers through the entire process, from product selection to ramp-up, ensuring the successful adoption and integration of power products. Key Responsibilities Market Strategy and Development:
- Develop, support and implement market strategies to promote power semiconductor products and solutions for automotive applications.
- Analyze market trends, customer requirements, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities and inform strategic decisions. Customer Support and Engagement:
- Provide comprehensive support to automotive customers, assisting them in selecting appropriate power products and solutions.
- Guide customers through the entire product lifecycle, from initial selection to full-scale production ramp-up.
- Address customer inquiries and technical challenges, providing timely and effective solutions. Promotion and Collateral Creation:
- Develop compelling marketing collateral, including technical documentation, application notes, case studies, and presentations at solution level and leverage the collateral developed by the product line at product level.
- Execute promotional campaigns to enhance the visibility and adoption of power products within the automotive sector. Solution Roadmap and Deliverables:
- Collaborate with product marketing, Business Development and system and solution engineering team to influence and shape the solution roadmap for automotive power applications.
- Deliverables include comprehensive support materials and resources to aid customers in the design and integration of power products. Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with sales, business development, system and solution engineering, and product marketing teams to align solution marketing strategies and product push and support. Technical Expertise and Training:
- Leverage deep technical expertise in Traction Inverters, OBC/DC-DC converters, Zonal Architecture, and Vehicle Control systems to support customer projects.
- Conduct training sessions, webinars, and workshops to educate customers on product features, benefits, and application techniques. Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
- Track and report on the effectiveness of customer engagement and support activities. DINs and ramp up of existing sockets, influencing new product definition.
Qualifications
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field; Masters degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in automotive power systems or semiconductor marketing, systems with a strong focus on automotive applications.
- Proven track record of successfully supporting automotive customers in the adoption of power semiconductor products.
- Extensive technical knowledge of Traction Inverters, OBC/DC-DC converters, Zonal Architecture, and Vehicle Control systems.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to diverse audiences.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to address customer challenges effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Willingness to travel as needed. Preferred Skills
- Experience with automotive electrification and powertrain systems.
- Familiarity with automotive standards and regulatory requirements.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
