Position Overview:
We, School of Beauty & Wellness, Symbiosis Skills and Professional University (SSPU), are seeking a dynamic and visionary leader for the role of Director of Nutrition and Dietetics. The successful candidate will oversee the development and management of the university's Nutrition & Dietetics programs, contribute to curriculum design, and lead academic and research activities in the areas of wellness, health science, and nutrition. This is a key leadership role that requires extensive experience in teaching, research, and program management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Department of Beauty & Wellness/Nutrition, providing strategic direction and vision for the programs.
- Oversee the development and implementation of academic curricula in nutrition, wellness, and dietetics at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
- Engage in research and innovation in the areas of nutrition, health science, and wellness.
- Foster partnerships with industry stakeholders to enhance the department's reputation and employability outcomes for students.
- Provide leadership in the development of new courses and programs that reflect the latest trends and demands in the wellness and nutrition sectors.
- Mentor and support faculty members, promoting professional development and academic excellence.
- Manage departmental budgets, resources, and accreditation processes.
- Contribute to university-wide academic and administrative initiatives.
- Represent the university at conferences, seminars, and industry events.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Essential:
- PhD in Wellness, Health Science, Nutrition, or related fields.
- Minimum of 6 years of teaching experience at the university/college/undergraduate level.
- Proven track record in the industry of nutrition, dietetics, and wellness.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, students, and industry partners.
- Desirable:
- Experience in academic administration and program development.
- Knowledge of emerging trends in the beauty and wellness industries.
- Research publications and contributions to academic journals or conferences.
