Role:
- Lead the Finance & Accounts function of the business, thereby ensuring availability & optimum utilization of funds, cashflow & effective risk management.
- Ensure maintenance of accurate accounting data & timely compliance, as per the expected laws & regulations.
Responsibilities:
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Along with the CMD & ED, undertake the process of budgeting and financial forecasting.
- Analyze expenditure variances as against planned and apprise the Managing Director in case of deviations, for initiating the corrective actions.
Liaising
- Liaising with & negotiating terms with banks for arrangement of funds.
- Coordinate with the bank authorities regarding loans & other requirements.
Statutory Compliances
- Ensure timely compliance with all statutory and regulatory authorities including ROC compliances.
- Preparing quarterly performance reports & sharing the same with the shareholders.
- Avoid legal challenges by understanding current and proposed legislation. Implement the accounting regulations.
- Check the bills to comply with local stipulations of finance, tax and relevant legal provisions.
- Monitor GST Returns - GSTR 1, GSTR 3B and Annual return; reconciliation of Input Tax Credit.
- Monitor TDS compliance, deduction and monthly payment, preparation and submission of TDS returns.
Financial Monitoring & Reporting
- Keep a tab on the project-wise expenses & receipts.
- Work closely with the Executive Director for managing cashflow.
- Monitor day to day accounting (including accounts payable and accounts receivable) for all group offices.
- Reconcile Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable including ageing analysis.
- Confirm financial status by monitoring revenue and expenses; coordinate the collection, consolidation, and evaluation of financial data; and prepare reports as required by the Managing Director.
- Prepare various monthly/quarterly/annual reconciliations.
- Coordinate for audit completion - Statutory Audit and Internal Audit; submission of data related requirement co-ordination with auditors.
- Work on tax saving initiatives / ideas.
- Prepare monthly MIS reports
Leading the team
- Lead the Accounts team to build a culture of timely, accurate & efficient work deliverables.
- Mentor team members and help them to improve their accounting knowledge.
- Screen & hire suitable candidates for the Accounts positions.
- Ensure handholding & training of the new hires.
