About The Position
We are looking for a Director, Information Technology to join our team. Overseeing all technology operations and evaluating them according to established goals. The incumbent will be responsible for establishing the IT roadmap, policies and systems to support the implementation of strategies set by the organisation. Analysing the business requirements for all departments to determine technology needs.
What You'll Be Responsible For
- Establish a reference architecture and roadmap for IT systems and assess the overall software infrastructure.
- Establish and maintain standards and procedures supporting alignment with the reference architecture and roadmap.
- Ensuring adherence by IT staff and engaged vendors relating to best practices in areas of: physical systems design and deployment, operating systems and databases, systems Integration.
- Manage Cloud Infrastructure and identify opportunities for consolidation of technology platforms, automation, cost savings, and service quality improvement.
- Support Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity efforts by contributing to the development of BCP / DRP plans, and engaging in periodic BCP / DR Test activities.
- Partner with Internal IT and Business partners to identify more cost effective means to support IT Service Delivery goals, providing quarterly recommendations for improvement and optimisation.
- Update and develop policies and best practices related to AI.
- Train, coach and mentor IT team members ensuring staff are effectively prepared for and maintain minimum performance levels for the applicable role(s) as defined.
- Develop and maintain an effective knowledge base / repository of information supporting IT Infrastructure functions, ensuring that the aggregated experiences of the team that become valuable tools for technology assessment, design, development and continuous improvement efforts.
- Engage on a regular basis with internal and external clients to discuss and review in detail systems performance, including outages and their impacts, as well as remediation and continuous improvement commitments.
- Manage IT Budget and report on budget execution versus plan.
- Conduct vendor evaluations and manager strategic vendor partner relationships.
Requirements
- Demonstrated ability to lead IT professionals in a global environment and a proven ability to communicate with technical and non - technical staff across multiple disciplines.
- 8+ years of working in a SaaS environment with a focus on IT Systems, Engineering, Design or Architecture roles.
- Bachelors Degree, Diploma or equivalent Technical Training in a Computer Science or Information Technology discipline.
- Experience working in a customer centric role with focus on delivering best in class services.
- Exposure to/familiarity with a recognised Service Delivery model (i.e. ITSM, ITIL)
- Strong technical knowledge across a wide range of technology platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines without compromising close attention to detail and accuracy.
