z/OS Systems Administration
Purpose:
Providing large-scale IBM mainframe infrastructure technical and operational support in a highly technical environment consisting of nearly 120 z/OS LPARs across the globe.
z/OS and ISV Systems Administration Job Duties:
Configures, implements, and troubleshoot z/OS and associated ISVs from CA, BMC, ASG, etc.
Work with senior team members to perform problem determination and resolution, capture and transmit system dumps, closely work with vendor's technical support, apply fixes and patches, coordinate testing and implementation of fixes and new versions, and work with other mainframe-based technical teams on production roll-out
Work with internal customers to clarify technical requests, testing and validation, and project support needs
Work with capacity and performance teams in proactively addressing potential performance issues impacting service levels
Work with computer operations to quickly resolve incidents and automate operational processes such as IPLs and stand-alone dump processing
Support and participate in Disaster Recovery exercises
Provide on-call support

Qualifications:
At least 15 years experience in a z/OS technical support or systems programming role supporting large IBM Mainframe configurations including the installation of DB2, CICS/TS, WebSPhere MQ, etc.
At least 15 years experience in maintenance and implementation of ISV products such as CA-7/CA-11, Control-M, ViewDirect, CA-TopSecret and CA-ACF2, IBM RACF, etc.
Working experience with Zowe, Ansible, RedHat OpenShift on z/Series, z/OSMF highly desirable
Two or Four-year college degree in Computer Science/Management or equivalent educational/work experience
