Opportunity
This position has overall responsibility of leading the India Technical Center (ITC) business unit to provide services to Kohler Energy businesses globally. This responsibility is carried out through both direct responsibilities and multiple high level business leader relationships. The intent of the ITC is to provide exceptional cost competitive services to Kohler Energy for their product and processes.
Responsible for ITC P&L which includes developing and monitoring annual budgets, maintaining long- range financial plans and proposing and providing cost efficient and effective remedies for long-term operational and growth needs. Manage ITC facilities.
Accountable for developing long term strategy to support product and processes, in multiple functional and business areas. Build a service minded and results/value driven culture .Give focus to worldwide standards and ensure processes / guidelines are compatible with other functions or business units.
Create a strategic plan for ITC to support the Kohler Energy business. Provide team with vision of where ITC should be in future in terms of capabilities and services to keep business sustainable.
Provide leadership to attract, empower, develop, engage and retain the excellent talent that is required to successfully support Kohler teams globally.
- Oversee the respective business unit managers at ITC.
- Explore new ways of working and capabilities to expand and/or improve the services of the ITC
- Develop the ITC associates and expertise required to improve the ITC services. Accountable for the performance and quality of the services provided by the ITC.
- Maintain and manage relationships with all ITC stakeholders.
- Build a strong organizational team providing guidance regarding personnel related issues and day to day activities.
- Plan for long-term service needs; direct the analysis of industry trends and competitive threats and recommend appropriate business approaches and actions.
- Assess and develop programs to respond to customer needs; lead the development of long term strategic plans and goals for key design functions. Facilitate executive's decision making by developing policy recommendations, short and long term financial goals.
- Ensure internal customer satisfaction and promote positive customer relations; periodically evaluate the quality and cost-effectiveness of all services provided. Maintain professional and technical competencies; attend educational workshops; review professional publications; establish professional networks; pursue appropriate professional certifications.
- Contribute to team efforts; hold regular and ongoing employee meetings, timely and effective performance review, feedback and involvement of appropriate employees in the decision-making process.
- Ensure to provide leadership and guidance to functional leaders at ITC to help develop a continuous pool of resources to achieve a sustained model of operation
Skills/Requirements
MechanicalEngineeringdegreewithaminimumof fifteenyearsrelatedengineeringexperienceandfive years technical management experience. Candidate must have a working knowledge of CAD and CAE software and at least 5 years of experience in running a design services setup.
Considerableexperienceinevaluatingfinancialandtechnicalprojectionsandinformationwithsound analytical ability to evaluate alternatives.
Demonstratedleadershipabilitieswithexcellentcommunication Skills
