Key Accountabilities:
The Head of Global Procurement Capability Centre in Bengaluru will be responsible for the implementation and leadership of a new Capability Centre to enable delivery of Global Procurement responsibilities at Regeneron. The role will be responsible for leading a team of professionals focused on delivery of procurement capabilities across the Source to Pay landscape, including vendor onboarding and maintenance, PO creation, contracting, performance analytics and some category management.
The role will enable consistency, scalability, and efficiency for repeatable, location agnostic activities and enable capability development across Global Procurement. In addition, collaborating with colleagues globally the role will drive and implement innovation and best practice in ways of working.
This is a key leadership role which report to the VP Global Procurement Centre of Excellence and will be a member of the Centre of Excellence leadership team.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leadership:
- Develop and implement the strategic direction and vision for the Global Procurement Capability Centre in alignment with Regeneron's overall business objectives.
- Applies advanced judgement, planning and independent thought leadership to influence business program outcomes and drive the capability center team deliverables.
- Leadership of approx. 25 employees, creating an inclusive, supportive culture, responsible for recruitment, retention, development, and motivation of team members.
- Act as an influential leader across Global Procurement by driving change and working with colleagues globally to establish ways of working.
- Provide robust in-depth knowledge of efficient global procurement organizations and processes to support the growth and evolution of the Regeneron Global Procurement organization and leverage this knowledge to drive improvements aligned with corporate priorities.
Operational Management
- Oversee the day-to-day operations across the Source to Pay areas, areas of responsibility will include vendor onboarding and maintenance, PO creation, contracting, performance analytics and some category management.
- Develop and implement operational processes that optimize efficiency and ensure consistency.
- Implement and monitor KPIs to drive operational excellence.
Decision Making:
- Responsible for establishing ways of working for teams within the Capability center.
- Influence strategic direction of delivery and capabilities across Global Procurement.
- Recruitment and talent management of Bangalore team.
Stakeholder Management:
- Engage with leaders across Global Procurement and partner groups in Finance and Law to ensure alignment and collaboration of strategies, and priorities.
- Proactively create communication channels and engagement model with colleagues globally to establish ways of working and connectivity.
Team Management:
- Role-model leadership behavior to direct reports who look to this role to create clarity and vision for what great looks like

Job Requirements:
- The role requires a bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study plus 12 years relevant, progressive experience in procurement.
- Experience working in a capability center in leadership positions, successfully leading teams to deliver across source to pay activities.
- Experience in leading and implementing process implications and improvements.
- Relies on experience influencing executives to drive results for Regeneron.
- Provide expert insight across source to pay processes.
- Ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders.
Experience
- Extensive experience working in a capability center and prior experience of setting up a Capability center would be highly desirable.
- Working knowledge with sourcing contracting tools, ERPs, and eRFx systems. (Oracle, Zycus, GEP, Ariba, Other)
- Ability to leverage standard business applications for communicating, presenting and analyzing (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Ability to develop detailed business cases.
- Track record of people management
- Ability to build consensus, teamwork, and creativity within a collaborative team with limited supervision.
