Job Summary:
The Director of Management for Distance Learning will oversee the strategic development and operational management of online education programs. This role is responsible for ensuring high-quality educational experiences, leading faculty and staff, and enhancing student engagement and success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program Development: Design, implement, and evaluate distance learning programs to meet academic standards and market demands.
- Leadership: Provide strategic leadership and direction to faculty and staff involved in online course delivery and program administration.
- Quality Assurance: Establish and maintain quality standards for course design, delivery, and assessment, ensuring compliance with accreditation requirements.
- Technology Integration: Collaborate with IT to ensure the effective use of learning management systems and other technologies that enhance the online learning experience.
- Student Support: Develop strategies to improve student engagement, retention, and success in distance learning programs.
- Budget Management: Oversee the budget for distance learning initiatives, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to support program goals.
- Collaboration: Work with other departments (e.g., admissions, marketing, and student services) to promote distance learning offerings and foster a supportive learning environment.
- Research and Development: Stay current with trends in online education and implement best practices to continually improve the distance learning experience.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Education, Business Administration, or a related field (Doctorate preferred).
- Proven experience in academic leadership, preferably in distance learning or online education.
- Strong understanding of online pedagogy and technology.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse environment.
- Experience with budget management and strategic planning.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with various Learning Management Systems (LMS) and educational technologies.
- Experience in curriculum development and instructional design for online courses.
- Knowledge of accreditation processes and standards for distance education.

Pay: 100,000.00 - 300,000.00 per month
