Role Title
Director, Enterprise Data Architecture (Data, Analytics & AI)
Role Purpose
LSEG needs a seasoned Enterprise Architect to work in our data rich enterprise where change is continuous, resiliency and reliability of the data is paramount.
In this role, you will be accountable for creating strategy, roadmaps and business cases across data echo systems. You will need to closely work with business to align the tech strategy with business strategy and steer them in the right direction. The role will also provide ongoing architectural guidance to multiple projects through their lifecycle.
Responsible for governance of the applications and solutions under Data and Analytics capability. You need to ensure the overall architecture, design, implementation and integrity of the data platforms within Corportate Technology is sound. Also responsible for ensuring that the solution delivered to business units is engineered according to Enterprise architecture and infrastructure standards.

Key responsibilities
- Provide strategic guidance and direction to drive the Corporate Technology data and analytics platforms and solutions for future
- Define data architecture strategies for scale, reliability and high performance
- Enhance entire data echo systems with AI driven solutions and delivery
- Streamline data management (data sourcing, quality, lineage, modelling)
- Enable data driven decision making across organization
- Setting the strategy for data architecture to support the Business and IT strategies and maintaining the data architecture principles
- Manage relationships with the leadership of the Data, Operations, Risk Tech Capability to influence the adoption of Enterprise Architecture frameworks, standards and policies
- Maximise relationships with vendors, regulators and industry bodies to seek and adopt industry standard methodologies in enterprise architecture and technology strategy
- Act as trusted advisor and leader across the wider LSEG Technology.
- Leads the solutioning ensuring alignment with the broader Coporate Technology and Group technology strategies
- Accountable for supporting all data, analytics aligned platforms, products and applications e.g. Snowflake, Power BI, Tableau
- Facilitate the adoption of agile delivery methodology to enable business agility and a culture of continuous improvement. Provides leadership, mentor and development to their team to drive high performance
- Maintains relationships with key suppliers, setting performance standards and handling the resolution of raised service issues
- Works with the centralised Corporate Technology Delivery management team and their Tech Function counterparts across Corporate Technology to ensure that they have insight of their respective plans and priorities
- Demonstrate the latest emerging & innovative technology and automation and promotes it adoption across the function, to enable business growth, simplification of processes, improved customer experience and cost reduction of delivery & maintenance

- Develop technical capability to enable provisioning of services to Coroporate Technology stakeholders
- Ensure continuous innovation to the technology stack
- Ensure appropriate governance, implementation and operational delivery

- Ensure designs cover system resiliency, Business continuity and disaster recovery plans for all applications and Systems in alignment with the Group's overall BCP strategy and plan

Technical/job functional knowledge
- Over 15+ years of experience in data and analytics handling large volumes of data
- Implementation experience of AI tools and technologies and AI platform enablement
- Modern engineering practices, agile practices, automation and deployment pipelines
- Experience in architecting enterprise data warehouse, BI & analytics and data management platforms.
- Engineering balanced solutions and processes for the long term.
- Experience handling products on different solution models (SaaS, PaaS, managed service etc.)
- Experience building and operating a technology organisation operating at scale across multiple products
- Experience of the developing and executing strategy and governance across a number of fields including Product Engineering, DevOps, CI/CD, Change Management, and delivering the agreed strategy to completion
- Experience of demonstrating deep and broad knowledge of emerging technology to promote innovation across the organisation to deliver services and solve business problems
- A strong knowledge of data quality and lineage from source to output
- Experience of building and leading a scaled agile function
- Proven track record of using industry standard processes and frameworks and promoting innovation across the organisation in the use of technology to solve business problems
Business and sector expertise
- Significant experience in Enterprise Architecture and Technology Strategy across corporate technology domains preferably in FinTech industry
- Experience in working with business stakeholders, especially data, BI, analytics and AI capability areas.
- High-level understanding/appreciation of processes that impact business operations
- Experience of advising/communicating at Global Head of levels of Management
- Experience of developing and influencing strategic working relationships with key technology suppliers
Leadership and management experience
- Strong leadership skills in managing individuals and leading high performing teams.
- Experience of defining strategic goals for functions and systems for measuring goal attainment.
- Experience providing technology leadership in managing complex transformations areas of human resources, finances, operations and Lead to Cash
- Finding opportunities to partner with external Technology organisations, developing the approach and negotiating terms
- Experience of establishing Architecture in an Agile culture
- Leadership and management experience at Director or equivalent level, managing global teams in a matrix environment

- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical partners and to listen to identified concerns and adapt accordingly
