Director – Data Governance

Our client is one of the global investment banks which provides industry - focused services for clients across geographies. They are currently looking for a skilled professional to join their Group Data Team in Mumbai as a Director Data Governance.

We are seeking to engage with experienced Directors who possess a proven background in Data Governance. This is a senior leadership position that entails overseeing a sizable team and managing senior stakeholders across multiple global regions.

Some of the key responsibilities will include:

• Implement and enforce data governance in alignment with enterprise data governance standards and framework.
• Onboard and monitor data quality management, along with metadata management - utilizing the enterprise data quality and enterprise metadata platform.
• Drive data quality issue remediation, monitor exceptions, and enforce data governance through forums and escalation processes.
• Perform periodic assessments, certifications, and ensure effective stewardship of data governance assets, including DSLA, KSMM / CBP DQ rules.
• Enable global hub operations, establish KPIs / metrics, and support Agile team delivery by ensuring effective execution and supporting 1LOD data stewardship.

To be eligible for this role you will require:

• 20 years of experience in data management involving the full data management lifecycle within Financial Services domain.
• Hands-on expertise with enterprise data governance implementation, data quality, and metadata management tools (e.g., Alation, Collibra, Informatica Data Quality) along with their implementation.
• Background in global program management and stakeholder management, along with exposure to cloud data governance.
• Proven ability to work in Scrum Agile teams with preferred experience as a Scrum Master, including relevant tooling exposure.
