About Aladdin Financial Engineering (AFE)
Join a diverse and collaborative team of over 400 modelers and technologists in Aladdin Financial Engineering (AFE) within BlackRock Solutions, the business responsible for the research and development of Aladdin's financial models. This group is also accountable for analytics production, enhancing the infrastructure platform, and delivering analytics content to portfolio and risk management professionals (both within BlackRock and across the Aladdin client community). The models developed and supported by AFE span a wide array of financial products covering equities, fixed income, commodities, derivatives, and private markets. AFE provides investment insights that range from an analysis of cash flows on a single bond, to the overall financial risk associated with an entire portfolio, balance sheet, or enterprise.

The Core Analytics Solutions (CAS) within Aladdin Financial Engineering (AFE) creates and delivers Aladdin's analytical capabilities to influence better portfolio decisions, differentiate products and solutions, and enable our clients to fulfill their financial goals. Role Description
The team seeks a new Security Valuation & Analytics leader with a focus on Public & Private Credit who will be working closely with the modelers within AFE to improve the accuracy and coverage of the Credit analytics. The person will coordinate with product managers and business operations to ensure our calculation engine's offerings and capabilities are world class to meet the requirements of both internal and external clients in the Single Security Credit space.
Along with direct team management responsibility for the credit team, the leader is also responsible to provide local team management leadership and support for the single security analytics CAS team.
This role is global in scope, has high visibility within BlackRock and provides an excellent opportunity to be a senior leader in a dynamic team that is focused on delivering credit analytics solutions.

Overview Of Responsibility
- Lead a global team which is responsible for orchestrating the Credit model development lifecycle responsible for business analysis/SME, model validation, user acceptance testing, deployment, and client communications.
- Engage with clients and prospects both directly and indirectly through relationship managers to provide subject matter expertise as well as capture product feedback and user stories.
- Collaborate with Modelers and partners within the broader Aladdin Product teams to define the product story for security valuations and analytics capabilities for Credit products.
- Manage large scale Credit projects that involve modelling, data, and infrastructure changes in coordination between different teams.
- Build and share expertise through client interaction, industry conferences, relevant trade publications, etc.
- Partner with client teams to drive adoption of our credit models and engage with partner teams that manage production and quality control processes and provide subject matter expertise and coordination to resolve client inquiries.
- Develop and retain a robust team, offering ongoing feedback and overall career mentorship.
- Provide leadership support to the overall CAS Single security India team and inspire team members locally by being a strong role model.
- Contribute to defining and implementing the India talent agenda for the single security CAS team in partnership with the CAS and AFE India leads.
Experience/Qualifications/Skills
- 10+ years of experience related to the development or deployment of financial models and analytics for a broad array of Credit products.
- Proven experience in delivering analytics products with a diverse and demanding client base.
- Experience in advanced analytics including options valuation, fixed income valuation techniques, interest rate modelling, and advanced credit modelling (PD, LGD, Credit VaR, Private Credit)
- Multiple years of experience in managing diverse teams, focused on both talent development of each team member and oversight of the team's priorities & execution.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team in an outcome-oriented environment.
- Excellent communication skills, including managing relationships with senior stakeholders.
- Resourceful, proactive, and able to prioritize and navigate in a fast-paced environment.
- Engineering, Finance, Mathematics, Business Management, or some other quantitative field of study.
- Acquired technical aptitude includes experience in Linux, SQL, and scripting platforms.
- Programming language skills are advantageous (e.g. Python, advanced excel etc.)
- Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or Financial Risk Manager (FRM) designation is a plus.
