We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of AR with expertise in US Healthcare. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of accounts receivable management, AR calling, insurance follow-up, hospital billing, and process transitions within the US healthcare industry. The Director will be responsible for overseeing the AR operations, ensuring timely collections, optimizing revenue cycle performance, and managing process transitions.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the AR team responsible for accounts receivable management, insurance follow-up, and hospital billing.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve cash flow, reduce AR aging, and minimize denials through effective AR calling and follow-up.
- Oversee the process transition initiatives, ensuring seamless integration of new processes, systems, or organizational changes within the AR function.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including billing, coding, and reimbursement, to address issues and implement process improvements.
- Stay updated with industry trends, regulatory changes, and payer requirements related to healthcare billing and reimbursement.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop reports to track AR performance, productivity, and effectiveness of implemented initiatives.
- Provide guidance and training to team members on effective AR calling techniques, insurance follow-up strategies, and hospital billing practices.
- Manage relationships with insurance payers, negotiate contracts, and resolve payment discrepancies or issues.
- Holds Active B1 Visa
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and customer service within the AR department.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 18 years of experience in accounts receivable management within the US healthcare industry, with expertise in AR calling, insurance follow-up, and hospital billing.
- Strong understanding of medical billing processes, reimbursement methodologies, and insurance claims processing.
- Experience managing and leading teams, including workload distribution, performance management, and professional development.
- Knowledge of healthcare compliance regulations, privacy laws (e.g., HIPAA), and industry standards (e.g., CMS guidelines).
- Familiarity with B1 visa regulations and requirements for international employees.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify trends, root causes, and implement process improvements.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in using AR management software, electronic health record (EHR) systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
