Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to coordinate and facilitate the development, implementation, and successful onboarding of digital solutions. Each day, you will support the adoption of digital platform and solutions into the customer business environment along with their subsequent operations and maintenance. You will also showcase your expertise by participating in the ideation workstreams from identifying and validating the needs to defining the development.

This is a Project Engineer- Advanced Process Control role, reporting to the Engineering Manager in business area Process Automation located in Bangalore. You will be responsible for delivering APC projects for Cement, Mining , Pulp and Paper and Metals customers across the globe. You will be part of Process Industries operations/development team within INOPC-PA. As a project Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and delivering APC scope for process industry customers like Cement, Mining, P&P & Metals. Your responsibility will be to ensure the project deliverables are met in terms of application quality performance & budget, while working with a team of automation project engineers.
You will be mainly accountable for:
Work on APC/APCA projects end-to-end for Cement ,Mining Pulp and paper
Carry out independently activities of basic and detailed engineering of APC solutions
Carry out Engineering and commissioning of APC Product for Cement plant , Pulp and paper , and mining
Study of process operation and process control requirements and definition of suitable simple, complex and advanced regulatory control strategies to be implemented at DCS
Ensure the engineering workflow is adhered and project is executed as per the Quality Management System
Prepare periodic reports (like weekly commissioning report, time sheet, SAT) and update the relevant stakeholders
Ensure Time Sheets are maintained periodically
Ensure customer queries are resolved on time & maintain customer relationship through professional approach
Efficient in Process Analysis and estimating the areas where optimization is required to enhance productivity
Responsible for providing remote assistance to installed base
Ensures the activities at site are in line with company health, safety, and environmental policies
Take required support from L2/ L3 support line and resolve issues on time. Provide required inputs for L2/L3 support line for issues raised
Qualifications For The Role
- You must have 5 to 10 years of relevant work experience in in APC implementation.
- Experience in Advance Process Control Technology and Automation principles.
- Domain expertise in Cement or Mining.
- Basics of Control System & OPC Communication with PLC/DCS.
- Availability to travel for either short or long term assignment. (50 % to 60 % travel )
- B. Tech/ B.E from a reputed University with First Class in Chemical engineering.
- You are at ease communicating in English.
