Introduction to role
We are seeking a skilled and innovative Digital Marketing BI Developer to join our Alexion team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions that support digital marketing analytics and reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, proficiency in BI tools and technologies, and experience with digital marketing platforms.
Accountabilities
- Support the Alexion team with their digital marketing reporting by designing, developing, validating, and maintaining the Qlik Sense dashboards + supporting model tiers that cater to various datasets for the omnichannel dashboard.
- Inclusive of cloud data, Google analytics, media data, 3rd party marketing campaigns, website-related data, rep-triggered emails, etc.
- Understand the business objectives, data sources, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to design effective solutions.
- Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various digital marketing platforms and sources into a centralized data warehouse.
- Implement advanced analytics and predictive modeling techniques to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities in digital marketing data.
- Conduct ad-hoc analyses and deep dives into digital marketing data to address specific business questions and provide strategic recommendations for campaign optimization.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity by implementing data quality checks and validation processes.
- Identify and address performance bottlenecks in Qlik applications; optimize data models, load scripts, and front-end visualizations to ensure fast and responsive user experiences.
- Conduct thorough testing of Qlik applications to validate data accuracy, functionality, and usability.
- Communicate project status, challenges, and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
- Instill a culture of continuous improvement, testing, and deployment of new capabilities for the business.
Essential Skills/Experience
- Knowledge of digital marketing principles, strategies, and performance metrics.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Experience with web data and email marketing.
Technical Skills
- Advanced understanding/experience with SQL, Snowflake, and Veeva CRM.
- Ability to create new rules and adjust existing rules.
- Recent project experience with Qlik + experience with other BI tools.
Desirable Skills/Experience
- Background in computer science, information systems, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in digital marketing reporting.
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
