  nAbout this role

  nAs part of its separation from Carrier, the Commercial and Residential Fire business is building its Information Technology (IT) department. This presents an excellent opportunity for a motivated and strategic thinker to assume the Network and Telephony role within the IT organization. This role represents the opportunity to help build and shape the future of our global network function. While reporting directly to the head of Infrastructure and Operations, this person will work with all members of IT to help solve issues and create true value for the company.

  nKey Responsibilities

• nLead the planning, design, and implementation of network and telephony systems to support business operations.

• nManage and optimize network performance, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving issues.

• nOversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of telephony systems, including VoIP, PBX, and related technologies.

• nDevelop and enforce network and telephony policies, procedures, and best practices.

• nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of network and telephony solutions with other IT systems.

• nConduct regular assessments of network and telephony infrastructure to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary upgrades.

• nEnsure network and telephony security by implementing and maintaining appropriate security measures and protocols.

• nProvide technical guidance and support to IT staff and end-users.

• nStay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend and implement innovative solutions.

• nManage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for network and telephony services and equipment.

n Qualifications

• nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technologies or related field, or an equivalent combination of experience, education, and training

• nProven experience in network and telephony management, with a minimum of 5+ years in a leadership role.

• nStrong knowledge of network protocols, routing, switching, and telephony systems (VoIP, PBX, etc.).

• nExperience with network security practices and technologies.

• nExcellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

• nStrong leadership and team management abilities.

• nEffective communication and interpersonal skills.

• nRelevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, etc.) are a plus

• nEducation / Certificationsn
